ricardojh Posted September 10, 2009 Share #1 Posted September 10, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi all- After just several months, the "red" on my D-Lux 4 red dot logo seems to be chipping away - and with proper care, no less. The camera still works fine, of course. Help! Ricardo
Advertisement Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 Hi ricardojh, Take a look here Disappearing Red Dot. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Gerard Posted September 10, 2009 Share #2 Posted September 10, 2009 It's the poor thing's response to the launch of the X1; it's falling apart with the stress. Thinks you are going to get rid of it for the latest model! On a positive note; some people on here go to great lengths to get rid of the red dot for fear of it being too intrusive. Looks like yours is doing it all by itself. Clever.
twcole Posted September 10, 2009 Share #3 Posted September 10, 2009 Well, wonder if is from holding the camera and lack of a hand grip like the LX3? I was going to get the dlux, but stuck with the LX3 as I do find the grip helps a lot especially with the conversion lens attached! agreenspan Posted September 13, 2009 Share #4 Posted September 13, 2009 I would call Leica. They should fix it under warranty. Shouldn't take too long either.....
