erl Posted November 21, 2006 Share #101 Posted November 21, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) 5D D200 M8 Which is the order you listed them in, so probably wrong! Prefer the 3rd, if I have to choose, but this is the net for gosh sakes! The truth rarely 'outs' here. Cheers, Erl
Advertisement Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 Hi erl, Take a look here Can you tell which one is the M8, 5D, or D200? . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
johnjs Posted November 21, 2006 Share #102 Posted November 21, 2006 Ray- Thanks, much appreciated. I'll get in touch. Thanks also Guy, for refreshing my memory on this, and just in general for your always constructive and useful commentary. They're not too interested in manual-focus lenses on most of the other fora . -John
albertwang Posted November 21, 2006 Share #103 Posted November 21, 2006 The M8 is the best looking shot of the bunch. The D200 is not too bad but the 5D, well, that's another story buddy.
supperman Posted November 22, 2006 Share #104 Posted November 22, 2006 Oh Albert, why am I not surprised? As others have mentioned, it was easy to determine the cameras based on DOF, but sadly, I confirmed the 3rd one as the M8 because the color of the yellowish/peachy wall in the 1st and 2nd pictures was rendered whitish in the 3rd picture. I remembered that the Leica had white balance issues, and so that confirmed my suspicion.
JumpStart Posted November 22, 2006 Share #105 Posted November 22, 2006 This is my first Post! First, I can only see 2 of the 3 images, and I'm not sure which I'm seeing (I think it is the Canon and the Leica. . Second, I do prefer the last one I see. carstenw Posted November 22, 2006 Share #106 Posted November 22, 2006 Steve, The WB was fixed the same with all three cameras, no color adjustments were made. The M8 was the closest to reality on the color. Ray, the more yellowy colour of the wall with the M8, is that accurate?
harmsr Posted November 22, 2006 Author Share #107 Posted November 22, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Carsten, The M8 photo displays the color of the wall very accurately. WB was set to tungsten on all of them manually. Ray
