egibaud Posted September 9, 2009 Share #1 Posted September 9, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) It looks like election night. We all are winners. People who said the M9 would be great are happy to say that the M9 is great. People who said the M9 would be disapointing are happy to confirm that the M9 is disapointing. My point of view is that for this price some sentences and features I read here are not acceptable: "normal glass instead of Saphire"... why did they want us to upgrade the M8 then?.... if I understand the M9 is a lifetime camera... shouldn't it have a saphire glass? "2500 ISO noise is improved and useable".... to me it should be perfect and leave Canon and Nikon ashame. "Lens selection via menu".... people hace spent fortune on coding lenses for their M8. Thanks for not puting this firmware upgradable function before. "IR filter is no longer needed".... great... but, somewhere it also says IR is not always completely fltered? so... should I leave the IR filter on, Yes or No? I am a winner, I've sold one M8 body and a few lens, and I am selling rest. Bye Leica
