Lightroom for the M9 - what to expect?

Seems that LR will take any DNG without updates/modifications. But will there be a specific camera profile for the M9 or just straight ACR conversion? Will Leica work on profile(s), or is it up to the general community? Anybody planning on publishing profiles?

Lightroom will come with profiles for the M9 in the same way as Lightroom has profiles for the M8 today. But the basis of Lightroom is ACR, so I don't understand what you mean with straight ACR conversion? ACR has profiles for most cameras.

The question is if the raw processor renders better images than Lightroom does for M8. IMO, the raw processor in C1 outperforms Lightroom by far. I hope Lightroom does a better job on the M9, because I really like the workflow in Lightroom.

Btw, Lightroom can't use third party profiles in the same way as C1, so you have to live with the way the rawprocessor in Lightroom process the rawfile, but you can add profiles in Lightroom that changes the settings in Lightroom after the raw processing.

And what about C1?

it took me several months (weeks?) in order to work with C1 for my M8 and I'm happy with the results. Now I should learn to use Lightroom? Ppheww...!!. Does somebody have an idea if C1 will take M9 files (I Iknow, a M9 profile exists in version 4.8.2 but rather as a pointer space). I hope that as usual, some generous member (Jamie??) will give here some profiles for C1...;)

Happy day for those ready to own a M9!
