innerimager Posted September 9, 2009 Share #1 Posted September 9, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have 3 film M cameras. Two M7 with 0.72 and 0.85, and an M3 with 0.9 mag. I greatly prefer these higher magnifications for 50mm, 75, and 90mm lenses, and am quite happy with the 35mm lens even on the 0.85 body. Since I really like 50mm lenses on full frame, and use both 1.4 and 1.0 lenses, I love the higher mag finders, with the M3 still the "best" in this regard! I'm not sure how happy I'd be with the 0.68 mag. on the M9. I hope Leica will make higher magnification and different frame line sets available without having to order "a la carte" which adds too much price. They offer .52, 0.72. and until recently 0.85 magnification on the M7 for the same price. I probably will wait until at least a 0.72, and preferably a 0.85 is available for the M9 before I get seriously temped. As for wide lenses, eventually I want a 21/1.4 which needs an external finder, even my 24/2.8 will need this, so I'd glady opt for higher mag. for the longer fast lenses I use most. Anyone else feel this way? best....Peter
