Shootist Posted October 6, 2009 Share #21 Posted October 6, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Ok worried now! So checking my understanding if I set dial to 160 for my 100 portra film then: Wrong film speed set from what DX read is seeing = blinking bottom light. Thats correct yes Chris/Shootist? Yes. Anytime you set a exposure compensation, whether it is with the compensation dial (+/- section with the correct ISO speed selected) or setting the ISO to a different film speed then what the DX reader sees you will get a blinking lower dot light. That is "IF" you have a readable film cassette in the camera and "IF" the DX reader is working correctly. Not sure what happens if you don't have a coded cassette in the camera or if the DX reader is malfunctioning. If you look at the user manual, on page 81, it gives you all the codes.
