It is not an exclusive domain (I never suggested it was), but it IS a sign (but not the only one) of a civilized society, at least where I come from. YMMV. yet another reading is that Scary may actually be a "thinking" man ... and not just another "brick in the wall". I am sure he is a thinking man.
