leica007 Posted September 4, 2009 Share #21 Posted September 4, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) More Photoshopping ? i think this one looks much better - at least the "9" - than the earlier DPreview one. but the right hand corner does not match with the one we have seen on youtube and flickr. who knows which is a true one. rondeb Posted September 4, 2009 Share #22 Posted September 4, 2009 Can someone verify that sensor cleaning is or is NOT discussed on pg 59/125 as on the sticker? This could point to the real deal...

leica007 Posted September 4, 2009 Share #24 Posted September 4, 2009 Can someone verify that sensor cleaning is or is NOT discussed on pg 59/125 as on the sticker? This could point to the real deal... As I said, this looks like the REAL one. As per Rondeb's query, in the M8 manual, sensor cleaning is on Page 128 [NOT p.125 as here ] for instructions in English. The yellow sticker on M8 has "page 60/128." we are getting close to the real thing. Note the cover on the body - it's like my MP !

leica007 Posted September 4, 2009 Share #26 Posted September 4, 2009 On M8.2 manual, it's on p.156 . so why would M9 manual have it on p.125 leica is becoming simplier to use, less instructions are required?
el.nino Posted September 4, 2009 Share #27 Posted September 4, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) simple: they don't have to explain you the differences of focal lengths on a crop-sensor.
docmark Posted September 4, 2009 Share #28 Posted September 4, 2009 Re waxed paper & waterproofing - actually, what you're seeing IS the new M9 with its waterproof case. The string is there to hold on to the camera. Very sophisticated.
adan Posted September 4, 2009 Share #29 Posted September 4, 2009 Actually, in that plastic-wrapped picture, I don't think we can tell anything about the corner - the plastic is stretched and not following the actual contours of the body. Could be a real, stepped M9 (the "9" certainly looks 21st century) - or not. Plus, what's the lump below the strap lug (more distorted plastic, I think, or else the USB cover came loose in shipping and slipped forward)? Suggestive in the context of other clues, but not persuasive by itself. ------- Christo Edition M9?
