Advertisement Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Hi Photoskeptic, Take a look here 100 reasons to stay with the M8. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
rjans Posted September 5, 2009 Share #22 Posted September 5, 2009 I'm a hobbyist and early this year with the rebate and currency exchange rate of the £ versus € I could afford an M8. With film, my standard lens was 35 mm, now I'm using a 28 mm and got used to it. Being very pleased with the excellent results I'll certainly keep on shooting with my M8. Philippe D. Posted September 5, 2009 Share #24 Posted September 5, 2009 I like the 80 ISO on M9, that's what I was asking for. I do not need FF, my picture Art will not be any better. So much money (with the lens) hanging on my neck... What about October 10th. 2010 ?
samuco Posted September 6, 2009 Share #25 Posted September 6, 2009 not very often i feel the urge to react to a post, but i do visit many of the webpages and flickr-etc accounts of posters and it strikes me that yanidel, who has one of the most interesting photosites/blogs, started this post and 'defends' the M8 and wonders if the M9 would add much to his photographic capability the ('non-professional') photos on his site are the typical streetphotos for which the leica M is said to be made for, they are sometimes exceptional, but always worth while, he has a good eye and probably good shoes, which is more important than FF it is probably true that people who make mediocre photo's will think that they need the M9 to add to their capabilities and to raise the quality of their photo's and are in a hurry to drop the (once praised) M8 - finally, finally they will have the right tool cheers sam (happy m6, rd1, m8 and hasselblad user)
