JR--like you, I'd get one tomorrow ;) Especially if it meant higher resolution with the same performance as what we have right now.

Though I have to say--especially in response to a couple of other comments, that one of the reasons I would get it is because the M8--as is--is so d****** good.

ON A SLIGHTLY OFF-TOPIC, but relate note...

Can someone tell me why no-one makes a raw / capture program that lets me turn my M8 into a Foveon, essentially?

I noticed this when playing around with FlexColor. They have this mode for Hassys with Imacon backs where you take 3 successive shots--one for green, for red and blue. Then the software does the channel mixing.

Interesting, no? Larger files too, evidently!

Would this not work for a DMR or M8? I mean, at least in the studio, this would be very cool! Couldn't you also get some cool BW interpretation by blending the resulting channels too?

It's late. If this makes no sense, just tell me I'm being silly!

Thank you so much to the person who posted that Leica was working on a b&w only M9 with 39Mpix.

I really started to worry... M8 is about to be fixed one way or another... and what would we argue about? about something that exists???? how horrible and boring!!!

So our friend had the great idea of launching a completely unconfirmed rumor about an B&W M9 so we could all jump on the gossip wagon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

People DO NOT LEARN. 99% of arguments here where due to speaking about unknown facts regarding the M8 and now we are going for an M9. and we are Polls, opinions etc.

come on! give us a few months rest so we can recover from the whole M8 story.
