For the last year I have subscribed to the Leica magazine, an excellent source of stimulating ideas and technical information.

 

I received an 'invoice' for a further subscription, largely in German. I then sent an email to the publisher asking by what method I could renew my subscription. No response.

 

A new subscription is easy to achieve, just pay by credit card online. No indication of how to renew however.

 

Anyone have similar experiences or tips?

Do you mean the magazine "LFI"?

To renew, you just do as you suggested, on-line. They do have some glitches on the database sometimes, so you have to watch your card and post-box for duplicate subscriptions. They will sort things out for you though.

Have just tried to pay for new subscription but the website 'loses' my subscription in the process - error 'please select an item before checkout'!

 

Will try again another time.

I'm not sure what country you're in but, if it is the US the magazine has it's offices in New Jersey. It is a distributor for a number of different magazines. I had to call once when I was a subscriber.

Thanks for your response, I'm in UK so am directed towards the German site and distribution appears to be via them.

 

I'm surprised not to have had any response form their office. At the moment when trying to complete the online subscription the website returns an error. Maybe a server issue.
