dpattinson Posted August 26, 2009 Share #1 Posted August 26, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) A week or so ago I bought a second hand Summarit 75. It looked in very good condition, no knocks or scrapes only the aperture ring was a little looser than I'm used to with my other lenses. Last night I took it out of my bag and found that the aperture ring has jammed. If anything it's looser now than last week, however it won't rotate away from the currently set aperture (about 5.6). Has anyone seen this problem with the Summarits? Of course I'm going to take it back to the shop and get it fixed, but I'm curious if there is a design flaw in the lenses. David. Wolfgang Esslinger Posted August 26, 2009 Share #2 Posted August 26, 2009 I bought a brand new one last year. Within 2 days the aperture ring went loose. Was repaired in Solms. No problems after that.

Pangur Ban Posted August 28, 2009 Share #4 Posted August 28, 2009 the same thing happened to my brand new Summilux 50 asph which had to be returned to Solms. Seems like a recurrent problem on some lenses for Leica at the moment.
