Mark, congrats on the new lens. I remember Rolo's frames from last year at this event. It would be interesting see some shots wide open without any toning or much post processing, just to get a sense of how the lens renders the raw image. The image made stopped down has great detail & depth in the dark tones.

Hi Ben,

generally, the shots don't need a great deal of post-processing. I tend to just alter the curve and tweak the contrast a bit and this is often enough to make a pleasing image.

I really do like tis lens. When I bought it, I was a little worried that I wouldn't use it too much, but it makes a great general purpose lens. Not quite a 'body cap' but close!

If you're interested, I have just posted a new Nokton shot on my website. It's in B&W but untoned.

The URLs is Monochrome Magic - Gallery Pages. I can't post it on here as it exceeds the size limits for the forum...

Cheers

Nice shots with interesting bokeh! Please post some more... I am trying to decide whether to get this lens, or the Zeiss 50 Sonnar??? Tri.

A difficult choice I imagine. I don't have any first hand knowledge of the 50 Sonnar, but I have heard good things about it. As I said in my resply to Ben, I am delighted with the Nokton.

Best wishes

Mark
