antistatic Posted August 23, 2009 Share #21 Posted August 23, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Even my dealer all the way down here in Australia said they would have something new to play with on the 15th of Sept. The words M9 did not pass his lips but he mentioned something about full frame and built in image stabilization!! Does this mean everyone can trade in their Noctiluxes because they will be able to shoot hand held at 1/4:p
Advertisement Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Hi antistatic, Take a look here Some great news from Leica on 9th September 2009 ?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
ptomsu Posted August 23, 2009 Author Share #22 Posted August 23, 2009 Hm, FF with image stabilization and this in an M9 - that would be really cool Think what you could achieve then in combination with a Noctilux
hoppyman Posted August 23, 2009 Share #23 Posted August 23, 2009 David, after a dealer in Melbourne was quoted as talking about price and availability, I asked my local dealer (Brisbane) to query Adeal. Adeal says any information dealers think they have must have come from rumour sites. Adeal say that if any new product is announced, all dealers will be told at the same time. My dealer has been told nothing. I actually was in the delership quoted as having information yesterday and talking Leica with my credit card out. Not one word on M9 mentioned to me and I 've bought three M's and some lenses from there over the last couple of years.I think that the evidence from other countries suggests that there will be some unspecifed announcement but no Australian dealer has been told anything by Adeal so far. I wouldn't bet my house on image stabilisation in there! Even my dealer all the way down here in Australia said they would have something new to play with on the 15th of Sept. The words M9 did not pass his lips but he mentioned something about full frame and built in image stabilization!! antistatic Posted August 23, 2009 Share #24 Posted August 23, 2009 Geoff, I was just enjoying the chance to join in the rumour frenzy Given that I am perfectly content with my MP/M2 and don't have $15000 to drop on a camera body, the specs of any future digital M has little direct baring on my well-being. andybarton Posted August 23, 2009 Share #25 Posted August 23, 2009 Dealers will most likely have already been told what is coming (they will be given a couple of week's notice), and will have had to sign a NDA agreement. None of them should be saying anything at all...
veraikon Posted August 23, 2009 Share #26 Posted August 23, 2009 Vienna is GMT +1 or +2? +2 . We have "Summertime" (=MESZ) . MEZ = GMT+1 , MESZ = GMT +
hoppyman Posted August 23, 2009 Share #27 Posted August 23, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) That would be logical, Andy. Personally I do not doubt that there is some announcement for something/s coming. It just seems that we Antipodeans won't receive the gospel according to Barnack at the same time as the rest of the faithful around the world. As of last Friday our dealers have been told nothing. Dealers will most likely have already been told what is coming (they will be given a couple of week's notice), and will have had to sign a NDA agreement. None of them should be saying anything at all...
