mmx_2 Posted August 18, 2009 Share #1 Posted August 18, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello everyone! Just reading about about the Foveon sensor I must say, I'm quite impressed, it seems like a very good idea and a much better representation of "real life". Anyway, reading about this I came up with this idea: Why not make a B/W camera? Just put a good number (12 is a good number) of pixels into the camera and make every pixel only represent the amount of light falling in; no light=black all light=white, the result should be a very good B/W representation and should be quite simply to build. No, AA needed, no lightmatrix split etc. What do you think? It would be so cool to have a dedicated M8-B/W hanging around my shoulder Actually B/W is the thing I miss most with digital, you can get quite close in Photohop, but real B/W film (like Ilford low ISO:)) is in a class for it self!
