DennisAllshouse Posted November 17, 2006 Share #4 Posted November 17, 2006 I like it. Somehow even with the hyperbusy frame my eye wants to drill into the face at the center. Aptly titled of course.
drjon Posted November 17, 2006 Author Share #5 Posted November 17, 2006 Thanks; I also felt it might be a bit busy but the face does carry it in the end.
rob_x2004 Posted November 17, 2006 Share #6 Posted November 17, 2006 Jon, I am not sure, I am only on a laptop, but if I stand the curves in end to increase contrast it seems to help the image and I was wondering if you might not have been better taking a spot meter on the highlight on the face, to darken the rest of frame. I am only looking at a small file and on laptop, but the image doesn't seem all that punchy to me as it is. Regards
drjon Posted November 17, 2006 Author Share #7 Posted November 17, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks, Rob; I think you are right. The background does interfere with the main subject. But I will try and see if your idea for improving it works. Thanks again for looking at it and for the suggestion. I'm not sure how I would spot meter with the M8, I don't have a separate meter.

robert_parker Posted November 18, 2006 Share #9 Posted November 18, 2006 I like the busy patterns and how they repeat even in the reflections on the side of the piano
