TODAY AT the PRESENT TIME THEY ARE POSSIBLE TO BE FIXED ANY M2, M3,…

EVEN WHEN THIS ANTICIPATING TO GIVE TO MAINTENANCE I REPAIR TO THE M8?

THERE IS SOME COMMITMENT TO MAINTAIN PART MECHANICS AND FUNCTIONAL

OF THE M8, SO THAT IN CASE OF FAILURE THE UPDATED ELECTRONIC PARTS CAN BE ADDED?

I LIKE THE M8. I BELIEVE THAT SHE IS COMPACT THE PERFECT ONE AS MUCH FOR THE PROFESSIONAL, AS IN MY CASE FOR THE ADVANCED FAN.

Xavier, it's a good question.

As you said, Leica has always had a commitment to their buyers and their equipment, and I think we can expect that to continue with the M8.

But there's the other side: With electronics, things seem to change more rapidly than with mechanical assemblies. Leica can still fix 50 year old M3's, and some people may want them repaired. But in 50 years, how many people will want to have their M8 repaired? Probably by then they'll want a later camera.

So I think we can safely assume that Leica will continue to support the M8 for a good while. I'm going to buy an M8, and I'm not worried about the issue you raised.
