D-Lux 3 or old Digilux 1?

I'm new to the forum and hoping to get a little feedback. I recently purchased a V-Lux 1 and I enjoy its options and intend to keep it. However, I'd still like a smaller camera, easy to handle for street photography and candids, like the traditional Rangefinders.

 

I'd been looking at the new D-Lux 3, however I noticed the Digilux 1 is available for nearly the same price or less, plus it includes manual focus features.

 

I know the Digilux 1 is only 4 megapixels, but I don't intend to make large prints. So, would any of you suggest the older Digilux over a new D-Lux? Advantages/Disadvantages?

Despite the fact, that English is THE universal language, you might as well try your question in the english section of the forum.

 

My apology in case you have and I didn´t notice.

 

A friend of mine got the D-Lux 3 a few days ago and is VERY VERY pleased with the little thing. He is new to digital and got on with it at once. But I do not know the D 1 to compare it with.

 

From a pixelstandpoint and size alone it should pperhaps be the 3 ...

Well, i don't know the D-Lux 3 but the good old Digilux is a good camera - not more but not less also. If you are not planning to make supersize printouts it is good enough.

Easy to buy at eb.. and if really you are not satisfaid easy to sell also - no risk

i had a panasonic lc-5 two years ago, sold that last year and have a d-lux 3 now. i would prefer the d-lux over the good old digiluy, because it is much smaller (at least that the pana lc-5 :-) and also has a manual focus.
