keithos27 Posted August 5, 2009 Share #1 Posted August 5, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hey there. Can anyone recommend me an SD card reader that will work with my MacBook Pro? I want to install the 1.20 firmware for my D-Lux 4 and since my laptop does not have an SD card reader built in I need to download the firmware to an SD card and then insert that SD card into the camera. Am looking to buy it via amazon.com so I can do overnight shipping. Cheers, Keith

lykaman Posted August 5, 2009 Share #2 Posted August 5, 2009 Hi, I believe you can connect your DL4 directly to your computer for the updates etc.. -> See the user Manual.. Re:- the SD card reader, if you are using a high capacity SD card as I do, I use the new Sandisk Multi reader..works with my Macs & PC's.. If you are using a basic SD card you can use the older card readers..
keithos27 Posted August 5, 2009 Author Share #3 Posted August 5, 2009 I'm just going off of the firmware update PDF posted on the Leica website. I don't see why I couldn't use the Leica itself as the body for the SD card (to write/read from my Mac) but they say you need an SD card reader. Regardless, I went ahead and bought the Sandisk All-in-one reader for $26 on Amazon. Thanks.
