I can of course follow the timings for both as per the data sheets . I was just wondering if anyone has had any first hand experience ? and maybe atip or two. Thanks
Advertisement Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 Hi Freelander, Take a look here Tri -X and Neopan in T-Max dev.. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
antistatic Posted August 4, 2009 Share #2 Posted August 4, 2009 I've done TriX in Tmax developer a lot lately. I developed it as per the instructions on the bottle, about 30 seconds initial agitation then one inversion every 30 seconds. I'm actually annoyed that my local shops have run out of the developer and don't know when they will get any more. It is good stuff.

salred Posted August 4, 2009 Share #4 Posted August 4, 2009 Assuming you'll be using stainless steel reels -- you might want to practice loading with a sacrificial roll in daylight with eyes open, and then with eyes closed before trying it for real (so to speak). Last time I re-learned to load reels (yes, I've been through several long cycles between *needing* to shoot Tri-X) I went to the local photo store and asked whether they had any outdated film & got a roll to practice with for free. And if you'll be using those self-loader reels, well, never mind... -- Steve A.
Freelander Posted August 4, 2009 Author Share #5 Posted August 4, 2009 That's a great tip. As far as the tank goes it's a Patterson with the plastic reels . I was used to using the tank back then and yes I am practising... Yours truly fumble fingers Freelander
