Go for the new 24 mm F1.4 if you can afford it, I hear its a crackerjack lens. It would be a good focal length for environmental portraiture giving you the equivalent FOV of a 31 on the M8. For a tighter crop the 50 mm F1.4 lux is the lens so you need to decide whether to go wider or tighter as you have excellent options on either side. noah_addis Posted July 27, 2009 Share #4 Posted July 27, 2009 thank you very much for your suggestion but the lux is too big it block the view finder too much . my choice alread filter down to this 24 elmarit and 28 cron:rolleyes: how how how?head ache:D thanks for your prompt reply I see you have two posts asking the same question, not sure if that's necessary, but.... The 24 'Lux, if it's in the budget, does not block as much of the finder as you may think. No more than the 24 Elmarit with hood. Of course you can use the Elmarit without the hood which blocks less. The 24 'Lux is an amazing lens. Other than that, if I were you I'd go for the 24 Elmarit, which would be a great combo with your 35.
