You need to take off the ring around the shutter release button, the round part on top of the film advance lever and the 2 screws holding the top strap lug in place (they are also the anchor for the top plate on that side of the camera). I don't remeber if you have to do something with the hot shoe. It's been a while since I took the top plate off a CL. Be advised you don't hit the shutter release button once the ring is removed and or when the top plate is off. It can cause the button to fall down past the shutter release triger arm and it is a bitch getting it back in place. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
