LEICA GUYS~~

Just want to check in to see which Lab do you guys recommend for high quality processing and scanning in the CA region (I live in L.A myself) as many have said it is more important who develops or scans your film than the film you actually use.

I believe thats true, because I have been through it myself,,, I just don't want to take it to WALMART hahahah, so lets get some good names out so we can all enjoy our photos and concentrate on the photography not where to develop them.

Cheers,,

Jacko :)

Jacko,

There are a number of very good labs in L.A. I have had fantastic results and great service with A&I (Highland Ave.), Paris Photo Lab (Melrose Ave.) and The Icon (Wilshire Blvd.). We are certainly lucky to have so many choices in one city.

In addition to those fine labs above (I like Icon on Wilshire), there's also Digital Photo Imaging at Vermont and Hollywood which is still open on Sundays (they did four rolls for me today). Another lab that's given me nice, clean negs is Bison Photo down in Newport Coast in case you ever find yourself down behind the Orange Curtain.

Two of the best going that I've used for some time without any problem. A&I in Hollywood.

Color, B&W, you name it. 35mm, medium format. For Fuji 35 mm chromes is the lab picked or won the contract to process 35mm chromes. When Fuji closed their lab in Phoenix they now have you send your film to Parsons Kansas. Use the same mailers, except of course the Post Office classified them as parcel post so a third stamp is needed. Same for A&I. For prints I have used a lab in SF and also in Texas. Fuji in Parsons has very quick turn around.:)
