I'm actually thinking about get a M8 and Canon TV lens 50mm f/0.95 mounted M as my next generation gear. I'd like to hear more pro voice here regarding to this decision. I checked several albums on Flickr.com which are shot by that combo though.

thanks.

ops

btw, is there recommended online store in US for leica camera&lens?

Ken Ruth, of Photography on Bald Mountain, will do a first-class Canon 50/0.95 TV-to-M mount for about $350.00 USD.

I love the character of this lens. At F0.95, it's surprisingly sharp in the central 1/2th of the picture area, with the edges/corners being very soft and dream-like.

While on Flickr, be sure to check out the Canon 50/0.95 group. Lot of good examples of what I've described above.

I use a Canon 50/0.95 on my Canon 7 at home and a Canon 50/0.95 TV mount lens with a C-Mount adapter on a $25,000 Infrared Sensor at work.It does surprisingly well out to 2micron infrared.

But: I would seriously look at the Voigtlander F1.1 Nokton for $1150 or so before buying and adapting the Canon lens to the M8.

Some of my Canon 50/0.95 shots in the Flickr pool.

thanks for replies above,

I'm thinking about get a M8 soon,

but still not sure which lens would be the best choice for me,,

Actually I'm a advertiser,

but not a photographer, I do graphic design.

I just wanna gear a camera that isn't that heavy as my last DSLR, but still doing well on photo quality.

I shot portrait a lot, but also for travel pictures.

well, as you guyz know, leica is consider as expensive, so decision always seems tough to make :),

thank you.

If weight is a concern, look at the F1.1 Nokton. The Canon 50/0.95 has a 72mm filter ring. A Canon 50/0.95 on a Canon 7 is about twice the weight of a Nikon 5cm F1.1 on a Nikon S2. It is an impressive hunk of glass. It is very heavy for a 50mm lens.

how do you like vc 35mm f1.2? I just decided to grab that as my final choice. I figured some albums on flickr.com, the lens seems good at quality.

Although quite bulky and heavy it's a very good lens! I have just a touch of regret that I sold mine!
