I know that the M8 is not so brilliant in higher ISO. So I just try to avoid that. Yesterday I forgot to switch back to 320, and I made a few shots. The result is as I expected.

But I'd like to ask a question here: If I take shots with higher ISO, do I need to live with these stripes (lower left corner). Or is it something, which could be fixed?

Setting: ISO 1250, 1/11sec f/4 WATE 21mm

No, you don't have to live with that... what is happening here (IMHO) it's just some banding, actually due to an underexposed shot.

When rising up ISOs you get a smaller and smaller margin of exposure reading. Try to set your EV to +1/3 (or + 2/3) as an exercise, you will notice the difference.

Otherway, you could try to expose for the shadows, it should work too, and once you get used to it, you can do it manually.

Hope this help you a bit.

Hi Chirs,

Wonderful shot, rarely see the real quality of HIS1250, maybe mine is always under exposure. I have been to you website a lot and I believe you worked in Taiwan and China before? My girlfriend was one of you EAP student at Kings in 2005!

It's great to see you here!
