canus Posted July 4, 2009 Author Share #21 Posted July 4, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Marc, those pictures in Seahorses are absolutely amazing. Just out of curiosity, which lens are you using with the Digilux 3 for those pictures, as well as the pictures in the other galleries? Thanx, and keep up the great work! Advertisement Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 Hi canus, Take a look here Digilux 3, to buy, or not to buy. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
marc_dufour Posted July 4, 2009 Share #22 Posted July 4, 2009 Hi Canus, Thanks for your kind words. About DOF... not secret. It only depends of what you want: to get a great one in the full frame, or isolate just a part of the picture. Playing with shutter speed and aperture value, as always (before digital stuff). The limit is your own skill and pulse ;-) About lenses... most of the photos were take with a Lumix 14-150 Asph, a great lens indeed, wich really made me appreciate this camera, and keep the analog one in a drawer. In other collections of the gallery (Marc Dufour) you'll see that most of the photos were taken with R6.2 and different lenses, the stuff I used until the last year. I'm glad you enjoyed my work. Best regards, Marc
canus Posted July 6, 2009 Author Share #23 Posted July 6, 2009 Hi Marc; I was just playing around with DOF, and uploaded some pics here: Back yard I just for the life of me can't believe how dead on the color imaging is on this camera, the purple flower is dead on. I took a pedal from on of those flowers and compared it to the image, and it's absolutely perfect. So far, I could not be more impressed with this camera.
