KCS Posted June 28, 2009 Share #1 Posted June 28, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) This is my first year with an M6 and I'm tempted to try and shoot 4th of July fireworks with it this year. My typical approach with digital is: shoot, chimp, adjust, shoot, etc. Clearly my workflow will be different with film. Any suggestions out there for 'recipes' to try that may get me some keepers? In case you are unable to set up a tripod (or you just find yourself surprised by the situation and do not happen to carry a tripod with you): Just take a 400 ASA film and a nice drink to steady your hands - and hope for the best. Long exposure is good - allow your frame at least 1/15th to capture the moment, possibly more. This picture was taken utilising the described recipe. Best regards & good luck, Stefan.
