Annibale G. Posted June 24, 2009 Share #1 Posted June 24, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, I was looking for some information about using a lamp on my Enlarger, a diffusion enlarger. I have two options but I don' t know which is the best and what are the differences between the two lamps: HLX 12 V 100W ELC 24 V 250W Is one better than the other one? Why? What are the differences? Thanks for any help.

doubice Posted June 25, 2009 Share #2 Posted June 25, 2009 Well, ehmm.... One bulb needs 12 Volt power supply, the other one needs 24 Volts. What Voltage is the lamphouse of your enlarger designed for? Best, Jan

ASpes Posted June 26, 2009 Share #4 Posted June 26, 2009 Hello,I was looking for some information about using a lamp on my Enlarger, a diffusion enlarger. I have two options but I don' t know which is the best and what are the differences between the two lamps: HLX 12 V 100W ELC 24 V 250W Is one better than the other one? Why? What are the differences? Thanks for any help. As you say you can use both, guess the main difference is in the lamp power: 100W vs 250W is not a small one. I'd go for the 250W one unless the printing times become too short to deal by hand, i.e. zone masking is easier with longer times. What was the power of your previous lamp? What are the average times for the paper size you use most?
