mwilliamsphotography Posted November 14, 2006 Share #41 Posted November 14, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Marc, Yes, but you shouldn't have to. Anyway looks like the IR filters are working so at least you can put the camera to work until the proper fix is ready, which is great news. I'm trying man, I'm trying. IR filters? I'd try one ... if I could find one. Fixes using different processing? I'm trying everything. The camera doesn't work for what I bought it for. I'm pretty good at processing digital. The M8 colors are false. Other people can post images until hell freezes over, but when I shoot a wedding party the flowers, bridesmaids dresses and the men's formal wear has to be accurate in color ... in relationship to each other. I can't make that happen in controlled studio conditions let alone at a wedding. Blotchy red faces aren't cool either. In contrast, I can load my M7 with Portra and my lab processes them in 2 hours while I run errands ... then I batch scan them on an Imacon with "perfect" results every single time. I've never worked so hard at "not" shooting tasks in my life. So when you say "shouldn't have to" I agree ... I shouldn't have to put up with all this nonsense and extra work or the sake of a brand name we all love and cherish.
