Advertisement Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 Hi xjr, Take a look here My new APO Summicron 75 ASPH...not up to Leica standards!. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Daniel Leung Posted July 1, 2009 Share #42 Posted July 1, 2009 Yikes. It is amazing when such obvious mistakes get through quality checks. I bought a Nikon lens a couple of years ago on which the front bayonet was out of kilter, causing the petals on the lens hood to be misaligned by about 45 degrees. B&H promptly replaced it. Rocky I got my Noctilux F0.95 in early June and I was very happy, I took sopme shots after I got home and realized that the aperture ring was always wide open @ F0.95 even if you turned it to 16. I took it back to my NJ dealer and they were very embarassed and apologectic. They took it back and replace me a new one in 2 weeks, fresh from Germany. I am a happy guy now but it is amazed that they will let such a defective product slip thru their inspection!! well, I guess these things happen to all brands/products and as long as they fix it or replace a new one at once. I am cool with it
SteveYork Posted July 1, 2009 Share #43 Posted July 1, 2009 Here's an idea: Instead of complaining about it, get a 75 Summicron from another dealer, like Tony Rose, and then go take some pictures. It's a fabulous lens. Since you can return the lens for a full refund, just do that and move on.
