As Sean Reid remarked previously in regard to the M8's problems, "This isn't Epson territory any more." He was referring to less than stellar performance of his R-D1's and Epson's apparent lack of haste to fix the repeated problems. Before you face your dealer for another return, give Leica a couple weeks. Everyone who has one says it turns out spectacular results most of the time. Michael Reichmann just said that only 3 of his 500 images (made with pre-production firmware, no less) showed these hotly analized defects.
