schimmey Posted June 7, 2009 Share #1 Posted June 7, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi All, Can anyone tell me if there is a known fault/problem with the M7 not automatically shutting off after 14 seconds if the release is not pressed? My has developed this fault & it uses up a lot of battery power! Thanks, Paul

pop Posted June 7, 2009 Share #2 Posted June 7, 2009 Does the meter turn itself on as soon as you wind up your camera? My M6 does that, and I rather think that the switch in the release button has become stuck. In order to conserve your battery, cock your camera only when ready for shooting or set the time to "B" when not shooting. That works with my M6, in any event. Have your camera serviced at the next convenient moment.
alifie Posted June 8, 2009 Share #3 Posted June 8, 2009 It may be a bit of dirt twixt the button and the inner bit, try a cable release a few times to see if it clears the problem.
