leicanut2 Posted June 6, 2009 Share #1 Posted June 6, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Anyone have this or know where theres one for sale. It is 5.5 circular polarizer and holder part number 13338 for the 280mm f/4 lens. From what I have read you can turn the polarizer with the special holder that comes with it. It looks like the standard filter that has to be kept in, except that the edge bit that still shows when it's in the lens has an adjustment knob on it (like an edge orientated volume control on a radio, if you see what I mean) that rotates the filter inside. christoph Posted June 7, 2009 Share #6 Posted June 7, 2009 Hey Christoph can't get it in english. Jan Hi Jan, on the top right of the website, there are flags to choose language. It appears as if you may even choose between British English and American English. :-) The website is less than complete. They have for sure more in stock than displayed thereon. The best is to write them an email. Ever better would be calling them. They are fluent in English. Let me know if you have still problems. I can call them for you on Monday. Kindest regards Christoph

masjah Posted June 8, 2009 Share #10 Posted June 8, 2009 Hey Christoph, I got a email they are sold out. Cheers Jan Jan Tough luck for now - I saw a brand new one at an German dealer's web site for €310 (I think I found it just Googling 13338 and Leica or something like that). Meanwhile I guess you could always manage with an E77 at the front!

leicanut2 Posted June 9, 2009 Author Share #12 Posted June 9, 2009 Ha I am going to have to go to school and learn Geman. Or maybe see if my Mom can come over and read this for me. I have a camera store on the west coast calling me. They called the west coast leica rep guy and he said he is sure he can get them one so I expect a second call tommorow. I never thought that this expensive little filter would be that hard to find in that short a time after they dropped the R line. Cheers Jan, Thanks for all the help I will get the page translated and email them also.

Cheers Jan, Thanks for all the help I will get the page translated and email them also. Here a brief translation of the essential part of the fotokoch.de add. The yellow arrow indicates that the item may be delivered only if the manufacturer is able to deliver one. By the way, this page has not been updated for a long time. I know this, since I visited this page when I was looking myself for that filter before I was lucky enough to get one at shphoto. So, I assume that they actually do not have one. The seller is from the town were I live and is not known to be a "Leica seller" I would be surprised if they had one. However, send them an email and you will know. Finally, eur310,-- is quite much money... Have you ever asked Meister Camera Berlin? meistercamera.com Regards and good luck Christoph
