mhoutman Posted November 7, 2006 Share #1 Posted November 7, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Waiting for a black M8 I got this morning a silver D-Lux 3 delivered with the brown leather case. I must admit that I was afraid chosen for a small Leica as I was used for years to the Canon G- and S-series and its menu structure. My first happy surprise was that the menu is also in dutch (others like polish and hungarian aren't mentioned in the english on-line manual as well). Also a dutch instruction booklet was included. The software IMO sucks (a bit). Adobe Photoshop Elements 3 for the Mac while version 4 was already released months ago; well probably this has something to do with licenses. The menu and all posibilities are very extensive. Does anybody know where to search for the firmware ? Well going out now for some pictures with a SanDisk Extreme III 2 GB inserted. Michiel Michiel, Is there a D-Lux 3 firmware update, or what are you refering to? Do you know if the D-Lux 3 actually benefits from the Extreme III card speed? I've never seen anyone mention that card for use in LX2 or DL3; but frequently the Ultra II card. Thomas

Thomas Not that I know, I just became interested as everything I have read about both the LX 2 and D-Lux 3 didn't mention all addition menu languages (dutch, polish, hungarian, tsjech), so I was very happy that as a surprise dutch was added too. Then it came up to my mind that this perhaps was done by some firmware update; the problem however is that till now I couldn't find any firmware info on the camera.
