jotam Posted November 4, 2006 Share #2 Posted November 4, 2006 Gareth, I like your composition option: the scene concentrated on a small portion of the immense black are of the frame! The impact is surprising! José
gareth_c Posted November 4, 2006 Author Share #3 Posted November 4, 2006 Jose, Many thanks. I took quite a few shots with more conventional framing but this is my favourite.
dsbarch Posted November 5, 2006 Share #4 Posted November 5, 2006 Gareth, And I like your favorite. Is is full frame or cropped? Either way it's a wonderful picture. dsb
yavetshm Posted November 6, 2006 Share #5 Posted November 6, 2006 Surprising framing but I like the result. Haim
gareth_c Posted November 6, 2006 Author Share #6 Posted November 6, 2006 Thanks to both of you for your comments. The image here is fullframe (minus a few pixels for the actual white frame itself). I often seem to compose shots in this way, with lots of open (blank) space, with day time shots too. I don't really consciously do it, its just something I have always done. I really like blank space in my photos. I did the same (to a lesser extent) with some of my other shots here.
