Just a little quirky aside which some of you may find useful.

In auto focus mode:

1. Switch off the screen in normal use by virtue of the External Viewfinder function -> ON

2. Press the little focus button on the top right of the flightdeck to get the screen to momentarily come back on to enable focssing/framing etc. (Got to be quick but ok for street shooting to keep your profile down on a dark night.)

3. The screen immediately goes off again so that you aren't walking around like a Xmas tree decoration.

Screen only on when you need it = higher battery life

Nice tip.

Same can be accomplished in manual focus (depressing top right focus button will auto focus despite manual setting), in which case #3 above can be even more discreet if there's time to pre-focus on subject (or equivalent distant subject) since infrared beam will not go off when shutter ultimately released.
