handcoater Posted November 4, 2006 Share #1 Posted November 4, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Well it seems there is no "no brainer" perfect world. I prefer the Zeiss ZM lenses for their usual knurled focus ring as opposed to the Leica tab only focus ring on the wider lenses. However, the Leica tabbed lenses are generally smaller than the Zeiss counterparts and intrude on the finder to a lesser extent. So I can have (for me) a more comfortable focus venue that blocks some of the finder image (in some focal lengths) or the less (for me) user friendly Leica focus tabs that don't block as much of the finder. Image drawing differences aside, how do the other users feel about this?

humanized_form Posted November 4, 2006 Share #2 Posted November 4, 2006 something else cool about the Zeiss lenses are the 1/3 stops on the aperture ring.
Jack_Flesher Posted November 4, 2006 Share #3 Posted November 4, 2006 Well different strokes... I *love* the focus tab so much, I just way overpaid for a German 50 Cron with tab just to get the tab
