(D2 stands for "Design #2". The D2 model was released in Dec of 2007 and apparently improved upon the original design that was released in the middle of 2006.) I used the original version and didn't like it as I thought it blurred and lowered the contrast of the image slightly, and also the enlargement factor was not very noticeable. barneybm Posted May 18, 2009 Share #2 Posted May 18, 2009 I have the 1.75 magnifier and find it excellent. It magnifies enough so that you can see just a little beyond the crop lines. Before I bought it, I was getting mainly out of focus pictures, unfortunately. Now, I really have the confidence that I can see clearly enough to focus correctly. It was well worth the money.
