Tenor1 Posted May 8, 2009 Share #1 Posted May 8, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Does anyone have one or had the opportunity to see it in person? I have a couple of questions for you. 1. Can it be used easily with a tripod? 2. Can you access the battery and SD card without removing it? 3. Do you like it? I always keep the camera around my neck and like this style case but never actually owned one. We will be traveling and I thought this case might protect the camera a little more. Thanks,

Thanks, Hi, There is a whole thread on the subject of case a bit lower down the list here. But to quickly answer your questions:- 1. You have to take the camera out of the case to use it, so it's both yes and no, depending on your viewpoint. 2. No. But as the camera is easily removed from the case anyway, it's not a problem. 3. Yes, very much. I have the brown leather case, and it is beautiful. :D I hope this of some help.
johnnyj Posted May 8, 2009 Share #3 Posted May 8, 2009 I think that we are talking about two different cases. I believe that Carlos is referring to the "Mocha" ever-ready case versus the brown "slip" case. The ever-ready case has a attachment screw on the bottom that screws into the tripod mount on the D-Lux-4. With the every-ready case attached you cannot attach the camera to a tripod. You must also remove the camera from the "mocha" case in order to change the battery and therefore the flash memory card. Like yourself, Carlos, I prefer to have the camera around my neck and the case open and ready to use. I own both the "slip" case and the ever-ready case and have taken to using the ever-ready case all the time. With flash memory capacity what it is and the long battery life between charges, the ever-ready case doesn't present a nuisance. The "mocha" case is well made and handsome. Nicoleica Posted May 8, 2009 Share #4 Posted May 8, 2009 Thanks Johnnyj, I apologise for giving misleading information. I hadn't seen the Mocca case before. It does look very nice, I must have a look next time I visit my dealer. Thanks for the information.
Tenor1 Posted May 8, 2009 Author Share #5 Posted May 8, 2009 Thank you both for those responses. Johnny is correct about the mocha case. I seldom use a tripod so that would not pose too much of a problem. In particular, I don't feel the battery life is that great and always end up changing it out. That's probably due to reviewing everything as we go. Thanks and I will order the case.
