gfoulstone Posted May 7, 2009 Share #1 Posted May 7, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am considering purchasing a second hand Leica Summicron M 35mm F2 Lens serial number 3684281 and wonder if anyone would have any idea of the year of manufacture? Also the asking price is £749, would people consider this a reasonable price? Any help would be greatly received. Thanks
Advertisement Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Hi gfoulstone, Take a look here Summicron M 35mm F2 Lens. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
JWW Posted May 7, 2009 Share #2 Posted May 7, 2009 You may want to look at the following sites: Antique and Classic Cameras LeicaLenses serial number and production year - Leica Objektiv Serienummer Looks like that's the Version 4 pre asph 35mm Summicron, which is desireable to some. I have one that's close to your SN and it's been a great lens. Price depends on condition and whether hood, caps etc comes with it. That SN is probably German made. There was a recent thread on this lens: http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/customer-forum/85244-finally-i-got-my-35-cron.html
