NB23 Posted May 1, 2009 Share #2 Posted May 1, 2009 I've been doing it for the past 16 years now, except for 2 years when I was fed up. Right now, I'm in the darkroom 3 nights a week printing on 11x14 fiber paper like crazy. I'm having a blast...
alifie Posted May 1, 2009 Author Share #3 Posted May 1, 2009 Funny thing is I was printing this morning while our cleaner was about, she knows the owner of the dog pictured (Barney), and asked me how long it would take, so I showed her the process of printing. She was a bit bored with the focussing etc. but when the image developed sheer supprise and wonderment. I still get that even to the point of not using my nova triple tank anymore I prefer dishes. kenneth Posted May 2, 2009 Share #4 Posted May 2, 2009 I am a little lazy at present, which I tend to blame on ME, I have three rolls of film which I have recently developed awaiting printing. Are you familiar with this site by the way it is a very useful source of knowledge? Film and Darkroom User - Powered by vBulletin
MPerson Posted May 2, 2009 Share #5 Posted May 2, 2009 Spent the morning in the darkroom developing 9 rolls and will print this evening/tomorrow, all being well.

Guest kirkmingle Posted May 2, 2009 Share #7 Posted May 2, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) At my school we develop our own colour and b&w film and print them afterwards in the darkroom. -- and no, it is not for fun -- 5 days a week for a wide range of work. We are between 20-28 years old and 50% of us do digital in addition, since it's a time-saver for certain work. But digital files have nothing to do with holding a nice baryt paper in your hand. stealthman_1 Posted May 3, 2009 Share #8 Posted May 3, 2009 I just accumulated ...a Jobo ATL2300...It's fricking huge and has forced me to say 'screw the guests' and convert my guest bedroom bathroom into a full time dark room. Tomorrow, it is off to HD to get some extra cabinetry to rest the behemoth on. I will still be able to get to the sink, but the toilet will require a 'corner shot'. Completely fed up with even 'pro' lab E6/C41, I'll go it alone, thank you. I'm not paying $9 for poorly washed Velvia 120 or $3 a sheet for 4x5 processing.
