Over the past few weeks I have posted and replied to other posts re the Viewfinder which Leica (nearly said Leitz there :P ) intend to be used on a D-Lux 4; as well as Voigtlander/Ricoh/ &c alternatives. Hopefully this thread will not set the same ball rolling again, as I only seek to discover whether the Leica VF has sufficient eye relief for use with eye-glasses (US)/specs(UK)

If you're talking about the 24mm Leica VF, I just came from my local camera store an hour ago and, just for kicks, looked through it on the Dlux4 through my glasses. No problem whatsoever seeing frame lines. I don't own it, so FWIW.

I allways use glasses and no problem at all with 24VF, more than one and a half month, allways mounted.

Hope helps.

I should have taken more notice of the foregoing affirmations, as well as overcoming the reluctance to meet the price of the Leica D-Lux 4 viewfinder. Went for the Voigtlander 28/35 "mini'' finder instead - which arrived yesterday. With my eyeglasses, extremely difficult to see the whole of either bright-line frames, so now trying to part-exchange it for the one Leica AG intended.

Sorry to read that, Jimbo.

Really Leica original 24mmVF it's an expensive one. But If you can afford, or wait to make money, ;) it really works. (Of course if you knows what a VF can bring to you). Hope you'll be lucky.
