MPJMP Posted March 31, 2009 Share #1 Posted March 31, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm going to San Francisco and Napa Valley at the end of April and am about to order some film for the trip. I'll probably bring a few rolls of B&W (Ilford XP2 or Tri-X, haven't decided yet), but for color I want to try some of the Fuji 160 series. Between the S and C versions which do you prefer? This will be for general "travel" photography, which will most likely include a few portraits and "street" shots. -Mike
Advertisement Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 Hi MPJMP, Take a look here Fuji 160S or 160C? . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
fotohuis Posted March 31, 2009 Share #2 Posted March 31, 2009 Fuji pro 160S is low saturation while pro 160C is high saturation. Here an example of the 160C, nice for architecture and landscape photography. (The last one even without polarizer):
Riccis Posted March 31, 2009 Share #3 Posted March 31, 2009 If you are shooting people, go for the 160S, otherwise reach for the 160C for the extra saturation. Have fun!

MattLain Posted April 1, 2009 Share #6 Posted April 1, 2009 Just curious why Fuji and not Kodak? The latter tends to have warmer hues.
Riccis Posted April 1, 2009 Share #7 Posted April 1, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Mike - Thanks a lot for your words. Have a great trip and don't forget to post your results. Matt - When it comes to color, I personally prefer the Fuji Pro line over Kodak's since I noticed magenta casts on the latter (this is my personal experience only, of course). Cheers,
