Leica Eveready cases

I'm curious about the fit of various version of the Leica cases Classic vs TTL/M7.

I carry my M6TTL/50 Cron along with a 90 TE in whatever bag I happen to be lugging ridiculous loads of computer gear around the globe at the time. As a result of this I've fallen into the habit of the body/50 in a Leica case, the 90 in a Zing pouch and film /misc in a 2nd small Zing. I can tuck this in various places and off I go.

Lately though I've been noticing that the finish on the body top plate is getting worn quickly by the contact of the inside fit of the case standoff pads. It's not a major issue, but I do like to limit the wear & tear to what's actually necessary rather than creating more.

The thought struck me that the case (looks like the latest version) that I bought might be fit to the lower height of the M6 and not the TTL. Did Leica make an adjustment to accommodate the height of the TTL and M7? If so I'd think about changing out at least the snout.

Any info is appreciated.

I use a neoprene case it I wish to carry 1 M6 +lens or a CCS camera bag if I plan to take 1 M6 into the hills. I use the hood from my down jacket which works very well in a rucsac or I sling it over my shoulder and forget it.

If I am taking 2 M6 bodies and lenses out I either use CCS cases or a Billingham 335 which works really well but does not have the carrying capabilities of a climbing sac.

The Neoprene case was, I think made for the M8 but it fits an M6 fine-about £40.00
