patackroyd Posted March 29, 2009 Share #1 Posted March 29, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Is there anybody who has the neoprene case on an M8 together with the M8 grip. Will the case fit ok with the grip in place. I am wanting to buy the case but I do not want to take the grip off because I find it improves handling, I can not find anything that says the two can be used at the same time. Can anyone advise on this. Thanks Pat
Advertisement Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 Hi patackroyd, Take a look here Neoprene case. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
marknorton Posted March 29, 2009 Share #2 Posted March 29, 2009 It's quite stretchy so providing you get the one with the larger front, I think it will be fine. More useful for protecting the camera when loose in a travel bag than when out and about though... I think the fit is influenced more by the lens and hood you have on. patackroyd Posted March 29, 2009 Author Share #3 Posted March 29, 2009 Thanks Mark, I will order one, its very difficult when you live in a city with no Leica dealer, so everything I buy is mail order, I can never see anything in the flesh. I used to have a dealer but companys with big buying power and cheap internet prices killed his business. I miss that shop, it was a mine of information and good advice, I now rely on forums like this to help me make buying decisions. Thanks again Pat
pgk Posted March 29, 2009 Share #4 Posted March 29, 2009 Fits fine with the grip in place. I use mine with various lenses including 24/2.8 and 50/1.4. Ergonomics are so, so, but it does offer a reasonable degree of protection, especially if shoving the camera into a bag as Mark says. I use mine a lot, even when out and about - a little known feature is that it fits other cameras too - my wife uses it with a Canon G5 if I'm not using it! A very handy case. marknorton Posted March 29, 2009 Share #5 Posted March 29, 2009 Just thought, it might very well be the least expensive M8 accessory, can't think of one cheaper!

I used one for an M8 with grip and wrist strap, mounted with a MATE mostly, no problems with fit and you can even stuff the case in a jacket pocket if necessary.
