Microtek...

At the moment I'm using an Epson 4490 for 35mm + 120 scans at home. And a Flextight 343 on occasion. The difference in quality is enormously towards the Imacon for 120 but not so much for 35mm.

My question is:

Will a Microtek scanner dedicated to 35mm give significant enough results to replace the use of my Epson flatbed? Or is the step from Epson-Microtek miniscule enough that I should just make the leap to a Nikon-V/5000 or Imacon-Hasselblads all together?

Any thoughts or opinions greatly appreciated!

I have both a Nikon ED5000 and a Microtek M-1. I use the Microtek only for 4x5, for which it is adequate for prints up to 16x20, and contact sheets for 35mm. I would not rely on the Microtek for 35mm at all. It is very slow and not a match overall to the Nikon scanner. Use the Imacon or get the Nikon.
