dent Posted March 26, 2009 Share #1 Posted March 26, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Dear Forum Members. I also posted this question at the German digital forum: These days I´m looking for an online service to build an online portfolio. An optimal solution would be a mixture from elegant site design (like smugmug or zenfolio) AND an active forum for discussing pics and for getting creative input (like altphotos or photo.net). I already set up a trial account at smugmug elfgen foto - mindful visual work- powered by SmugMug Pretty design but they obviously compress the pics for viewing. This seems a death blow to my already terminally lousy film scans. (I´ll crawl through their support section today). I´m not familiar with HTML either. Any suggestions for an online sevice worth to try? Thanks for Your input J. Elfgen

tobey bilek Posted March 27, 2009 Share #2 Posted March 27, 2009 I thought they were nicely presented and don`t see anything wrong. On the right side of the pic is a flyout menue that can be used to pick a larger viewing size. It takes a bit of time to show. I took a look at a fall leaves in the German Park and the flying birds expanded to a larger sizes and see nothing wrong. They are sharp, clear, and full of detail. They look as nice as anything I have seen on the net. If you are just trying to enlarge the screen shot that comes up, that will not work well. I am working with XP and IE7 and a CRT monitor I use for E mail etc.
