afmrep Posted March 30, 2009 Share #81 Posted March 30, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) You seem to be quite knowledgable about the R system. I'm a newbie to the forum. Is there a Leica digital body that will accept standard R lenses? If not, is there an adaptor? I have an R4, and an assortment of manual focus lenses. Check out the Leica DMR ... a digital module which converts the R8 and R9 bodies into DSLRs. Also, check out the R to 4/3 format adaptors which permit Leica R lenses to be used on 4/3 DSLRs ... and check out R to Canon EOS adaptors which enable R lenses to be used on Canon DSLRs. There is a used DMR back listed at £1695 if you shop around the UK Leica dealer websites Cheers dunk
