pomyhra Posted March 23, 2009 Share #1 Posted March 23, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, I am a satisfied Leica Digilux3 owner with a question for you experts at this excellent forum; Is it possible to upgrade the lens firmware on my Leica D Summilux and Olympus lenses using the Digilux3 camera body or do I have to use (read: buy) a Panasonic or Olympus body for such an upgrade? The camera firmware in my Digilux3 is version 2.0 (the so far last firmware update from Leica).

joelpk Posted March 23, 2009 Share #2 Posted March 23, 2009 You should be able to update the lens firmware using the Digilux3. I had no problems updating my D Summilux 25/1.4.
denniswksit Posted March 25, 2009 Share #3 Posted March 25, 2009 I understand that the body firmware of Digilux 3 can be upgraded (latest version is 2.0) but no lens firmware has been announced as far. If the lens firmware can be updated, please let me know how to get it done. For I have a few Olympus lenses and a bunch of R lenses, of course I would be very grateful if I can use these lenses to their limits. Thanks in advance.
