Anthony Healy Posted February 14, 2008 Share #21 Posted February 14, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Anthony: You might want to try remounting the DMR and checking the focusing screen is in correctly. The only time I have heard a complaint about soft images with the DMR has been when the focusing screen wasn't in correctly or the back door/DMR was not fully latched shut. Robert Thanks for the tip Robert but it didn't make any difference in re-installing the focusing screen or remounting the back.

Do you have another R8 or R9 to try it on? If not, send the camera and DMR back to Leica to check out. Something is out of alignment.

Something is out of alignment. Rob I'm in the process of getting that checked out now. Leica have agreed to lend me another R9 to compare images. They are in Melbourne and I am in Sydney so it takes awhile to get everything together. Anthony
